Failed2Chart (abbreviated F2C) is the recording pseudonym & solo music project of A. Summerfield, an independent, unknown, unsigned, multi-instrumentalist, unencumbered by age, endorsements or music credentials. Primarily a keyboard playing bassist, F2C mixs electronics & acoustic instrumentation with found objects, samples, loops, pre-arranged percussion, more loops, sound manipulation & sequencing.
Eighteen sample tracks (above right) are from a double CD called "Synapshots", written and recorded on the island of Kauai. Released: 01 November 2009. Produced by: F2C. Compositions, vocalizations & all instruments by F2C, except: Not So Fast; Arthur Walton guitar; By & Larger; Taylor Summerfield drums, bass & rhythm guitar; and Eighth Day Tribute, Taylor Summerfield, Roland V-drums. Recorded at: Amalgamated Art & Sound Studios, Kalaheo, Hawaii. Engineered by: Arthur Walton. Cover artwork & design by: Taylor Summerfield.
Instruments played include: Synthesizers, Piano, Organ, Electric & Acoustic Guitars & Basses, Electric Alto Kalimba, Electric Slide Mandolin & miscellaneous percussion (including; baby rattle, beer bottle, bongos, box-o-rocks, cabasas, claves, djembe, finger cymbals, handbells, maracas, ratchet, spark & tube shakers, tambourines, thundersheet, trash can lid, triangle, washboard, wood block & xylophone).
F2C Icon: is a vintage audio reel to reel tape recorder - outdated but fully functional, dependable, faithful, no missing parts, lights still on, wheels still turn, analog based, chipless, ghost-free, although most useful days are past & usable days are numbered, still delivers decent fidelity.
